About Abby Honold
In 2014, Abby Honold was sexually assaulted as a student at the University of Minnesota.
After authorities initially did not press charges, she sought legal help and came forward to fight for justice.
She has introduced and successfully passed federal legislation titled the Abby Honold Act, a nationwide grant program to provide trauma-informed training to law enforcement, as well as helping to change local law and policy in her home state.
Supporting victims with advocacy, consulting, and impactful legislation.
Abby also provides limited consulting services, and in certain cases, private advocacy services to victims and their families.
Abby speaks to various groups about the impact of sexual assault: high school and college students, criminal justice system professionals, medical providers, women’s groups, athletic teams, and professional conferences.
